Having a qualification in Health Related Exercise and Physical Activity for Children I also have six years of experience working with children in the school environment ranging from Year 1 Infants to Year 6 Juniors.

I provided weekly fitness sessions (indoor & outdoor) using a combination of mini biology presentations and physical activities creating my own fitness programmes devised specifically to encourage the children to understand why exercise is so good for them, how their body systems work, in turn giving purpose behind the exercises.

I have a good understanding of children’s different abilities at specific ages and also how to tailor the lessons’ content to suit their varying levels of learning, attention and behaviour. I aim to give each child a sense of achievement and ownership of their physical abilities. My hope in turn is that the children take away a memorable experience that will result in them learning to love keeping active.
